We, Zarathustra the Cat, now proudly announce thе 3rd edition of the “Cats and the City” fiction and animated cat viral Internet film competition. As usually, We are proudly became a curator of it.
The competition explores joint creativity of cats and humans in film field. We carefully collected the best films where cats are are muses, sorry, Mews, for human filmmakers.
The screening was held at the night 29 to 30 August in our native city of St.Petersburg, Russia, at the extraordinary set: the iconic drawbridge over the Neva River, the Troitsky (Trinity) lifting bridge, was transformed into the giant 400 sq meters screen during Multi-Bridge event.
About 20 000 thousands spectators came and worshiped cats.
The International Festival of Animated Arts “Multivision” took care of all boring organizational issues, as blocking traffic at one of the main streets of the city and raising the 40 meters long part of the bridge in unusual time. Everything for the sake of the Cat!
Tourists who came to visit the Hermitage Museum and breathtaking sites of the Neva River embankment had additional pleasure to watch cat films in the classic architecture surroundings
We now report to everybody who had no chance to come here how it happened.
Here is the shortlist of the selection that was screened at the drawbridge:
