What if cats with their inclination to scratch and stretch worked as floor scrapers? French Impressionist Gustave Caillebotte answered this question in the true version of his famous painting “Les raboteurs de parquet” – “The Floor Scrapers”:
In 1875 in Paris We, Zarathustra the Cat, posed for the masterpiece with two humans who were not as diligent and productive as We were:
We had a reason for Our hard efforts, a bottle of shrimp juice waited for us! Maybe humans expected another liquid in the bottle?
Anyway, We worked hard and instructed Our collaborators:
“Tu dois bosser vite, Pierre, eh? Un bouteiile du jus des crevettes nous attend!
Hurry, no pain, no gain! A bottle of shrimp juice is going to be too warm!”
You may compare the true masterpiece to the commonly known version of the painting in Musée d’Orsay in Paris:
Do you agree that hard work is much more pleasant when a cat helps you?
Thus speaks Zarathustra the Cat
